Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers in Hong Kong, with the mortality rate for both men and women remaining high over the years. Colorectal cancer is mainly caused by the mutation of the polyps on the intestinal wall into cancer. Sometimes abnormal cells can emerge on the wall of the bowel and grow into polyps, ulcers, or other types of mass. Most colorectal polyps are benign, but a small portion of them may develop into malignant tumors, leading to colorectal cancer.

The Hong Kong Government recommends people aged between 50 and 75 to have regular screening. Early detection (and removal) of polyps can prevent them from developing into cancer.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in Hong Kong. In 2020, a total of 2,287 people died from this cancer, accounting for 15.4% of all cancer deaths.

Terms & Conditions
  1. Doctor consultation will be arranged prior to laboratory investigations & procedures for this cancer screening program.
  2. Three consultations by our specialist practitioners are included for this cancer screening program. Please consult the physician for professional advice during the first doctor consultation for the choice of cancer screening program and optional tests. If the customer decides not to go for any cancer screening, centre's walk-in rate of the consultation will be charged instead. Doctor's consultation fee varies in different locations.
  3. Colorectal cancer screening program price includes basic laxatives, intravenous sedation, use of instrument and facility charge for the procedure. Pathological examination of the specimens, extra surgical procedures and extra medication are excluded and will be charged at centre's standard rate. If specialist consultation prior to the procedure is required, additional specialist consultation fee will be charged.
  4. For colorectal cancer screening, if patient is not suitable for traditional Colonoscopy examination, doctor may arrange Virtual Colonography as an alternative where appropriate.
  5. Quality HealthCare will contact the customer in around 5 working days after the date of payment for appointment arrangement. Customers can also use e-Booking service on the Quality HealthCare Mobile App or call our physical check-up hotline at 8102 8068 for booking.
  6. This physical check-up plan is only available at designated Quality HealthCare Physical Check-up Centre(s) as shown above.
  7. Customers must present their identity cards and order confirmation letter (printed or e-version) on the appointment day for verification.
  8. This physical check-up plan is only applicable to persons aged 18 or above.
  9. This physical check-up plan is not applicable on Sundays and Public Holidays.
  10. This physical check-up plan will be valid for 6 months starting from the date of payment. Customer must redeem and complete the relevant check-up within the 6 months’ period.
  11. No amendment or refund to the physical check-up plan ordered is allowed once payment is confirmed. All services cannot be resold, transferred, or used for commercial purposes without explicit written consent of Quality HealthCare.
  12. Customers are advised to have post check-up consultation with doctor for report analysis, interpretation and explanation, and recommendation of necessary follow-up and/or referral actions.
  13. In case of disputes, the decision of Quality HealthCare Medical Services Limited shall be final.
