Prevention of typhoid fever.

Typhoid fever is caused by the bacteria Salmonella Typhi. The incubation period is 7–21 days. Symptoms of typhoid fever include sustained fever as high as 39°– 40°C. There may also be headache, malaise, loss of appetite, and constipation or diarrhoea (adults tend to get constipation while children tend to get diarrhoea). In severe cases, there may be intestinal bleeding and perforation, impaired consciousness and even death if untreated.

How:

Subcutaneous or Intramuscular injection

  • Primary immunization: Single Dose
  • Booster dose: may be given every 3 years

Recommended for

Adults and children aged 2 or above; Travellers who are going to visit endemic areas of typhoid fever (e.g., Africa, Asia, Central/South America) are advised to get vaccinated
Terms & Conditions
  1. Doctor's consultation is included prior to the first dose of vaccine. If customer is assessed to be not suitable for vaccination, the fee will be refunded subject to a deduction of doctor’s consultation fee at HK$300.
  2. Persons aged below 18 MUST be accompanied by their parents/legal guardians, who will sign on the consent form on behalf of the enrolees in the clinic.
  3. Quality HealthCare will contact the customer in around 5 working days after the date of payment for appointment arrangement.
  4. Customers must present their identity cards and order confirmation letter (printed or e-version) on the appointment day for verification.
  5. This vaccination service will be valid for 6 months starting from the date of payment. Customer must redeem and complete the relevant vaccination within the 6 months’ period.
  6. No amendment to the vaccination service ordered is allowed once payment is confirmed. Any fees paid will not be transferable and will not be refundable.
  7. In case of disputes, the decision of Quality HealthCare Medical Services Limited shall be final.
