In the view of Chinese medicine, people who suffer from internal dampness are generally having slower metabolism. The belief is related to the weakened functions of the lung, spleen or kidney systems. Symptoms of internal dampness include loss of appetite, heavy limbs, fatigue, cold hands and feet, oily skin, sticky stools and nausea, which can be alleviated by promoting body metabolism, fluid conversion and overall circulation.

The Dampness Dispelling Treatment, provided by Quality HealthCare Chinese Medicine Centre, uses cupping and external application of herbal medicine to improve overall metabolism and strengthen blood circulation, in order to dispel internal dampness. Our Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioners will assess the physical condition of each patient and tailor-made treatment regime that suits his/her needs in order to strengthen the treatment effect.

Principle:

Cupping

  • Cupping  can warm the body and promote blood circulations in the meridians
  • It can eliminate stasis, relieve fatigue, and enhance functions of the lungs, spleen and kidneys
  • By clearing and opening the meridians, it helps improve overall metabolism and eliminate the cold and dampness inside the body

External Application for Dampness Dispelling

  • Eliminate dampness by combining external application of herbal medicines and cupping technique
  • The herbal medicines are only applied topically to certain parts of the body. The active ingredient of the preparation of the herbal medicines can be absorbed through the skin
  • Other than reducing muscle stiffness and improving blood circulation, the herbal medicines can also possess dampness-dispelling effects on the body
