TCM Acupoint Application for Pain Treatment (1 session)
TCM Acupoint Application for Pain Treatment (1 session)

Acupoint Application for Pain Treatment (穴位敷貼痛症治療) is a traditional Chinese Medicine treatment based on the TCM theory of meridians and collaterals system. It involves the application of Chinese medicines with warm and pain alleviating properties onto designated acupoints.

Huang Di Nei Jing (Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon), the earliest extent of TCM classic, recorded the theory of meridians and collaterals. It is a pathway for qi and blood to flow through the body. The system forms a comprehensive network linking the exterior-interior, tissue and zang-fu into an organic whole.

Through stimulating specific acupuncture points using Chinese medicines, the meridians and the collaterals system can be stimulated and regulated. This helps improving the circulation of meridians and the collaterals system, promoting the balance of the body, and achieving the goal of maintaining health and preventing diseases. The treatment is suitable for patients with pain disorder induced by healthy qi deficiency, yang deficiency and cold excess.

Using formulated herbal medicines to create medicinal patches with warm meridians-unblock collaterals properties. Registered Chinese medicine practitioners review individual body constitution and symptoms by ‘Four diagnostic method’ and ‘Pattern identification’ to select proper acupoints for the treatment. This treatment aims to relax tendons, harmonize meridians, circulate qi and relieve pain for achieving the effects of disease prevention and treatment. This treatment is suitable for patients with pain disorder e.g. cervicalgia, cervical spondylosis, low, sciatica, frozen shoulder, joint pain, epigastric pain, dysmenorrhea.

The treatment includes:

  • Acupoints Application

*Patients are suggested to undergo Acupoint Application for Pain Treatment once a week.
