Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) cosmetic acupuncture is a method of applying TCM acupuncture technique to medical aesthetics. Based on the TCM meridian theory,  Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioners use extremely fine needles specifically for facial acupuncture and apply them on appropriate facial acupoints based on the patient's body constitution. Needling facial acupoints can help promote the circulation of local meridians, strengthen Qi and blood circulation, improve facial skin condition and skin tone, thereby promoting skin health and beauty. Besides acupoints on the face, Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioners may also needle acupoints on the body to enhance the therapeutic effect.

Needling facial acupoints can also be applied to treat other conditions, such as Bell’s palsy,  trigeminal neuralgia, myasthenia gravis, allergic rhinitis, and blurred vision.

Treatment details:

Facial Gua Sha: Gently stimulate facial skin and muscles to improve facial microcirculation, promote circulation of meridians and improve skin tone. Skin can be tightened through scraping movements from bottom to top. 

Cosmetic Acupuncture: Extremely fine needles are used; the procedure is almost painless. A few acupoints may have slight soreness and bleeding. It is tolerable for most individuals.

Treatment time: approximately 30 minutes.
